Is my cat going to like the padding scratching pads?
Not only does the fabric look great in your home, but your cat will enjoy digging their claws into our specially designed foam layer. It's great for healthy claws!
:|: Will the fabric be durable?
Yes. We use special cross-woven fabric that is highly durable and does not unravel when scratched by your cat. If you have a ambitious scratcher, you can rotate the pads to ensure even wear. In special cases of long-term heavy use, the foam scratching pads can also be replaced.
:|: Isn't carpet perfect for cats?
By looking at the selection at your local pet store, you'd think so! We've found cats enjoy our cross-woven padded scratching pads just as much as they enjoy carpet. The foam element really adds a lot to their scratching experience. Not only can your kitty enjoy this modern look, but you can as well! That's something those carpeted condos just can't offer.

Standard carpet is unsightly and offers no padding for cats to dig their claws into.
:|: Scratching & Clawing
Cats instinctively scratch and claw - it’s built into their hardwiring. There are many different reasons and primal explanations for their behavior but if not modified it can be destructive and ruin that new sofa or insure you’ll be replacing the carpet every few years.
Cats possess different personality types; some skittish others friendly, but most all cats are territorial in some way. They show dominance and ownership often times through scratching but this can also be a great body workout! The best way to guard against your cat clawing their way through your house is to provide them with ample opportunities and positive reinforcement when they scratch in the proper places. Place modern cat furniture where your cats like to hang out, it will become a functional way for your cat to enjoy your house.
:|: The Vantage Point - 15" Modern Condo
Our feline friends know all the good hiding spots. They like feeling safe and often find themselves above ground level. Situated either on the floor or on top of a piece of furniture, the 15" modern condo provides them an opportunity to observe and be observed from a location they know will provide them with protection as it relates to their primal instincts. In addition to being elevated cats also like to have their backs or blind spots covered, often by means of a wall or piece of furniture. The curved-cubby space allows them to relax so they can enjoy a nap and cleaning themselves.
The vantage point also gives a cat structural support. Cats don’t often make the same mistake twice, if they feel unsafe or unsteady on a piece of furniture they probably won’t revisit. Our furniture is virtually tip-proof. We’ve had cats bolt and jump onto our furniture, it’s not going anywhere.
:|: The Modern Cat Experience - 40" Tall Modern Cat Condo
Cats love this furniture. They can bury their claws, climb, jump or just nap. Every position is available for them to carry out their natural behavior. The tall cat tree encourages perching at the tip-top along with a cubby where they can feel safe. Every sitting surface doubles as a scratching area perfect for stretching their muscles or some old fashion claw grooming.
Multiple cats can enjoy sharing their own space, and when dogs are near it proves to be the perfect stable hideout. Even young kittens and older cats are encouraged to play. The bottom level is the perfect spot for them to lay on their backs and scratch the roof. Dangling toys and string between the pads is an ideal way to start a playful session. Add some hidden cat nip tucked away on the fabric and call it a party!
:|: Playing Around
Cats can be trained and taught to use a piece of furniture just as we can be taught the controls of a vehicle with patience, practice and positive reinforcement. One of the best ways to teach your cat about their new furniture is to show them it’s theirs; accomplished with treats, petting, or draping a toy atop. Running a laser pointer or dragging a toy mouse along the surface of their furniture is a good way to start a play session and get them interested in exploring more. Behavior modification and the cat’s play time doesn’t necessarily always happen where the carpeted or plywood cat tree is hidden, plus historically it's a nuisance to drag into the closet when guests come over! Furniture for pets needs to be accessible and functional, but for us why can't it be attractive, too?
